Peacefully, on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Bon Air Nursing Home in Cannington. Betty (nee Clark) in her 100th year, dearly loved wife of the late John Alexander "Jack" Macklin. Loved mother of Patricia "Pat" (late Neil Raines), Robert Clark "Bob" Macklin (Mary Lou Waggett and the late Roberta Jones), and Catherine "Cathy" (Ray Chapelsky). Loving grandmother of Bill Raines (Tina), Rob Raines (Tamara), Doug Macklin (Emily), Jennifer Moffatt (John) and Patrick Chapelsky (Jennifer) and great grandmother of Rebecca, Kaitlyn, Brianna & Alex Raines, Jack & Ava Raines, Ava & Keaton Macklin and Andrew & Ben Moffatt. The family of Betty Macklin will receive friends at the THORNE FUNERAL HOME, 98 River Street in Sunderland (705-432-2672) on Monday, December 14th from 12 noon - 1 p.m. followed by a Service to celebrate her life at 1 p.m. with Reverend Richard Parker officiating. Interment Bethel Cemetery, Greenbank. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to St. Andrew's United Church Memorial Fund in Sunderland or the Greenbank United Church Memorial Fund.
