Obituary of Irene Marion Snoddon

(Retired from Oxford University Press in Toronto) Peacefully, on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, at age 86. Irene was the loved sister of Ruth (deceased) and her husband Harry Ashton (deceased) and Earlby Snoddon and his wife Doreen. Loving aunt of Lynda and her husband Glenn West, Kathryn and her husband Charles Smith, David Ashton (deceased), Ron Snoddon and his wife Linda, Sandra and her husband Warren Jibb and Brian Snoddon and his wife Cathie. Irene will be missed by her great nieces and nephews, her great great nieces and her special friend Mary Ellen Hayhoe. The family of Irene Snoddon will receive friends at St. Andrew’s United Church, 10 Church Street in Sunderland on Monday, June 27th from 1 – 2 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Church at 2 p.m. with Reverend Les Hills officiating. Interment Sunderland Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque through the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw Street South in Cannington (705-432-2672) to the St. Andrew’s United Church Memorial Fund, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the charity of your choice.
