Peacefully, on Monday, September 26, 2016, at the Cottage Hospital in Uxbridge. Betty (nee Alexander), beloved wife of the late Edward “Ted” Rowsell (1990). Loved mother of Jane May Paice (Jeff), James A. “Jim” Rowsell and Catherine E. “Cathy” Rowsell. Loving Nanny of Andrew Cherry (Camille), Adam Cherry (Tara) and Lee Jason Rowsell (Estefania) and great Nan to Andrea, Christina, Ainsley and Alana Cherry. Dear sister of Richard J. Alexander (deceased) & Muriel (deceased) and Donald E.M. Alexander (deceased) & Noreen and aunt of Russell Alexander, Robert Alexander (deceased), Douglas Rowsell, Valerie Mullens and Wendy Robichaud. Loving and adoptive mother of Patti Burton, Pat & Pete Latham and E.J. Brooker. The family of Betty Rowsell will receive friends at St. Andrew’s United Church, 10 Church Street in Sunderland on Friday, October 14th from 1 – 2 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Church at 2 p.m. with Reverend Les Hills officiating. Interment Sunderland Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque through the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw Street South in Cannington (705-432-2672) to the charity of your choice.
