The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #141 - Sunderland are profoundly sadden with the passing of June. She did not want to be a member but was one of our more then active volunteer helpers, with an open heart, lots of laughs and always moving. Even though she was not a member she was a true Comrade. June was a remarkable woman, a true matriarch. Chats with her were always a highlight of the annual family reunion. She will certainly be missed. Our condolences to the family. Brian, Anne and William Donnellan

I never met her in person, but I learned a lot about Grandma June from Drew. Over the past five years, Grandma June and I have communicated through cards and letters. It sounds like she was a very bright light in the world. It would have been interesting to sit next to her at dinner! Cherish the memories of a special lady. With sympathy and kind thoughts.

I have known June most of life , always a fun time with her quick wit and her extra special hugs . She always said you got to get going out in the world or you will know nothing,I loved the way she always greeted me with that amazing hug. I will miss June but I was fortunate to call her my friend .
