Dear Friends
My heart breaks for you right now. I know you will get through this together with lots of love and beautiful memories. Always remember the great times you had together. Gordie was the toughest little kid in the neighbourhood. But had a heart of gold.
Lots of Love to you all

We will all lose friends. We lose them in death, to distance, and over time. But the hardest friends to lose are the ones who touch our lives briefly but profoundly. Gordie you will never be forgotten. Your good nature and willingness to help other people will keep you in everyone's heart. Gordie may have left us too soon, but the blessing of having known him, of having shared in his joy and helpful ways, will stay with us always. His light continues to shine through the lives he touched and the hearts he changed.I know that I will keep you safely tucked in my heart and your light will always shine.
Terri Lynn, Victoria, Connor and the Mansholt Family
We struggle with the pain of not getting to say goodbye, of stories left unfinished and words left unsaid, we can take comfort in knowing that Gordie's story doesn't end here. It lives on in each of us – in our laughter when we remember his adventures (yes, even the ones involving flaming underwear), in our kindness when we help others as he would have done, and in our hearts where his memory burns bright and true.
My deepest condolences and love to all of you

Dear Terri Lynn, Victoria, Connor and all of Gord’s Family & Friends,
During our brief time as neighbours, we got to know what a friendly, generous guy Gord was-always helpful and willing to lend a hand. He enjoyed coming across the street to see us and “shoot the shit”, usually with his jack russell Max, following close behind. He was often busy working on small engines in his driveway or shed and always on the road, working hard. Three years ago this month his next door neighbour’s house caught fire. No sooner had we got on the phone with emergency when we saw Gord dash from his house, knee deep in snow, across his yard and the neighbour’s and disappear around the side of the burning building. He appeared several minutes later with the residents-all unscathed. Later that day when we had a chance to talk to him, we exclaimed how amazed we were at how quickly and without hesitation he ran into the burning house. He just sort of shrugged. That was Gord I guess. He wouldn’t just give you the shirt off his back, he would run into your burning house to save you as well.
You will be missed Gord.

Oh my Friend Gordo, you were a stand up guy, always looking out for me, and the boys, as a friend. You were the best.I remember you making sure everyone was all good. Stopping in, checking up, and having some home made soup, ofcourse. You were 1 in a million Gordo ! I remember how happy you were to be with your family. I truly believe God has you in his arms, taking care of you as, you watched out for others. Taken too early, you will be sorely missed by many. Rest in peace my friend.

To My Brother Gordon
Of all the gifts in life
However great or small
To have you as my Brother
Was the greatest gift of all.
A special time
A special place
A special Brother

With an aching heart
I whisper low
I miss you Brother
And love you so.

Gord was my 3rd little brother while we grew up. The silly & stupid things we did, the wknds we spend together @ the house. Every Christmas eve together for yrs & yrs, the times we stayed up all night watching movies, playing cards. Gord, you were a big part of my Life & I will miss you but I have such Great Memories. Love you Gordie
