We will miss Sunday mornings at 7 am. The sound of Tom's green John Deere riding lawn mower. Tom wearing his cap and no shirt cutting the grass. The odd time he would stop and have a quick chat. We all will miss you Tom!

Tommy was a caring neighbour. Tommy cared for our family especially for Kent. Kent had a bad car accident years ago and was in Toronto in a Rehab facility for months after. Tommy called the house constantly in those dark days asking about Kent. Often, Tommy would make the 5 hour (or more with city traffic)trip to bring him stuff and to check on him. Kent always said that Tommy visits were a bright light in those long, lonely days away from home. As a non-quiet person Tommy always found quiet person Kent at his work because Tommy cared to see how Kent was doing, remembering what he had been through. We are sad that there will be no more visits from Tommy. The farming world lost a plowing champion with Tommy- he had a 2024 IPM sign on his lawn last year as the Match was so close. We send our condolences to Tommy's family especially to his son Jimmy who was his dedicated caregiver.
Sincerely, Leona, Bob and Kent Hamill of Manilla

So sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He was one of a kind. One of my favourite teachers. Never took himself or anyone else too seriously. Being a huge fan of the Boston Bruins we both shared a love of the B's. So when I would come into class he would make it sound like he was going to rip a strip off my back. In the back room!! Now!! I was thinking now what did I do? He'd close the door and say "What the heck is wrong with the Bruins power play?" Classic. He had played junior hockey in Dixie with some of the Stanfield brothers and that was why he followed Boston. Always a fun time with Tom. R.I.P. you will be sadly missed. But when I think of you I can't help but smile. That's a good legacy to leave.

I always enjoyed our conversations. We called him the “thrilla from Manila”. And, yes, he had a great memory and could always tell me what his former classmates were doing and even my classmates. I’m going to miss those calls out of the blue!

Mr A. Was by far one of my favourite customers at the pharmacy. Always had a big smile and a story to tell. He always made my day better and it was an honour to know him. I absolutely adored him. He will be greatly missed ❤️
