Obituary of Percy Duncan McNabb

The McNabb family announces with sorrow the passing of Percy at the Lady Minto Hospital on Friday, May 9, 2025 at the age of 84. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 58 years, Margaret McNabb (nee Currie), his children Percy McNabb II “PD” (Linda) of Scotland, ON, Andy McNabb (Lily) of Cochrane, Bill McNabb (Stephanie) of Overland Park, KS, USA, and Robert McNabb (Sylvie) of Cochrane and his grandchildren Callie, Connor, Colton, Adam, Kory and David.

Percy was the brother of Douglas McNabb (Lynda), Harvey McNabb (late Joanne) and the late Sharon McNabb. He will be missed by nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Watson Duncan and Mildred (nee Veale) McNabb.

Percy worked at the Ministry of Natural Resources his entire career, and held various positions including scaler and fire crew leader.  He gave provincial wood scaling courses and worked at the Provincial Parks. He was a volunteer at the Ontario Association of Agricultural Society, Cattlemen's Association, the model railroad club and he was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and Timmins and District Shrine Club.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Cedar Vale Cemetery in Cannington, Ontario. A reception will be held at the Gamebridge Women’s Institute Hall, B33956 Regional Road 50, Beaverton, Ontario immediately following the service.
