Marlene was a very special person whose warm, lovely smile immediately made you feel at ease & welcome. Her very down-to-earth, positive, optimistic personality was combined with a great sense of humor. She provided great compassion, kindness & generosity to everyone who was fortunate to know her. An amazing cook she enjoyed hosting many holiday dinners for family & friends for which we were fortunate to enjoy. She was extremely talented & creative inspiring everyone she met to find their passion & happiness in life.
She was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin & cherished friend. She enjoyed & lived life to the fullest never afraid to try new adventures & challenges. She will always be deeply treasured & greatly missed.
Our deepest heartfelt condolences are extended to Ken, Cameron, Aiden, Dave, Margaret, extended family & her friends.

Style, colour and fun, Marlene was a treasure to all that met and partied/worked with her. Her time in Australia was a joyous one, all who meet her loved her, her smile and laugh can still be remembered.
She loved a good party and her ability to put together a dress up costume, was above the rest of us, she owned Bette Midler!
She was a strong intelligent woman that came from that unique place, Woodville - Ontario, she told me once it is was a one coke machine town.
She was the only person I met that understood "Curling"
She loved shoulder pads and could wear 4 pairs at once with style.
We reconnected 12 months ago, still the same laugh, with so much pride to share with me about her family, she loved them so much.
She told me we were kindered sprints, from the moment we met, we both felt that.
Plans where being discussed re a visit to Australia, we were both looking forward to this.
She has gone and I am so sad, so sad.
I loved her.

Marlene was extraordinary and taught me how exceptional results come from a thoughtful design process, while I was a student at Georgian College. She made me want to be a great designer and to excel in whatever craft I chose.
In addition, she was an exceptional human; kind, caring and eager to help you find joy and happiness in whatever you might be doing.
Her encouragement, patience and empathy helped me not only at college, but continue to guide my creative life to this day.
My deepest condolences

I taught with Marlene at Georgian College years ago. She was a lovely lady and both colleagues and students respected and held her in high regard. A great sense of humor and positive energy carried her through her life. Hoping she is enjoying her new adventures, on the new page of life. We shall all see her again when it is time.
With sincerest condolences,Tracy
