Obituary of June Bernice Allen

Peacefully, on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at her home in Sunderland, at the age of 86. June Allen (nee Welch), beloved wife of the late Lloyd Charles Allen. Loved mother of Audrey Teefy (Hugh), Susan Allen (Bill), Frank Allen (Elisa), and Teresa Allen. Cherished grandmother of Ben, Drew (Erin), Brent (Daniela), Tiffany, Todd, Olivia, and Sophia, and great-grandmother of Hailey, Jade, Clinton, Sullivan, Sloane, Carter, and Kevin. Dear sister to Larry (late Linda), Greg (Tina), Hildreth (late Eachern), Jean (Rick), and Bill (Madeline). Predeceased by her parents Chester and Aileen, and sister Joan.

 

June liked to volunteer her time at the Sunderland Legion organizing and running weekly shuffle board. She also volunteered for the monthly Seniors Luncheon and Breakfast held at the Legion.

 

A gathering to celebrate the life of June Allen will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 141, 104 River Street in Sunderland on Saturday, September 5th from 1 – 4 p.m. Private interment will be at the Sunderland Cemetery in Sunderland.
