Our community is blessed with talented and extraordinary people. That is probably why we find ourselves drawn back when we move away for school or business. I always enjoyed my visits with Phyllis. Her ethic had been honed from years of practice. She always insisted we have tea and she always served some sweets with it. We sat at the kitchen table and talked about the issue we met for and then we got on to other topics. I found her life interesting. Her service to this communiy had been honoured several times. That custom of visiting with tea and sweets is becomig a thing of the past, unfortunately. I was so fortunate to have been able to share the custom with so many of our senior community stateswomen.
