After many happy years spent in her own home in Cannington Pearl entered into rest peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital on Sunday, June 22nd, 2014. Pearl Irene Samis (nee Wakelin), in her 95th year, was the beloved wife of the late Edward Lambert Samis (1990). Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw St. S. in Cannington on Sunday, June 29th, 2014 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service from Trinity United Church on Monday, June 30th, 2014 with more visitation from 1:00 pm until time of Funeral Service at 2:00 pm. Interment Cedar Vale Cemetery. As a remembrance, donations to Trinity United Church, Hospice Kawartha Lakes or the Palliative Care Unit at Ross Memorial Hospital, would be appreciated.
