It's been a year but it feels like yesterday. Losing her broke my heart but I'm grateful I have so many wonderful memories of her to treasure. Every crazy road trip, Frenchie adventure, lunches in Cannington at our tea shop or trying a new Thai place. Hours happily spent shopping in HomeSense and antique markets. Drinking strawberry margaritas at Chilli's eating her fave fajitas and just laughing about everything and anything. Singing along in the car with Mary Bear to "Call Me Maybe" on our way to pick strawberries :) So many happy times to remember. She was fiesty too. Once she saw a woman lock two pugs in a car on a very hot day, so she went over and tore into her until the woman apologized and swore to never do it again, then got back in her car, turned to me and said "THAT'S how we do it in Cali" LOL Oh Betsey how you are missed. You were such a character :) If she loved you, she LOVED you and you knew it. There was nothing she would not do for you. She was a force of nature. Fearless. Even on days when it was tough, she wouldn't give in and she sure wouldn't let you give in to anything either. Always there with a hand to lift you up. She taught me a lot about courage and dignity in the face of the worst adversities. She was beautiful, inspirational and brave, incredibly intelligent, SO funny you'd be crying laughing, and often brutally honest. She told it like it was. Bets was one in a million. Words can never do her justice and she is missed and loved so very very much by my entire family. We shared so much. Laughter and tears, joys and heartbreaks. What I would not give to be sitting in my gazebo with her on this beautiful day just talking and laughing. Betsey you are in my heart and in my thoughts every day. Until we meet again sisterfriend and continue our adventures xo <3

I am so sorry for your loss. Betsey and I grew up together in Hayward CA. and though I had not seen her in years, we still remained in contact.Betsey was such a great hearted and strong person. I am going to truley miss her.
