I have known LLoyd for 30 years and one year he supplied us with a large quantity of high quality cedar logs for our sawmill. Lloyd was an honest man and our business dealings were always honourable. Over the years the quantity and quality of those cedar logs grew in the telling such that the bush they came from will likely never be seen again.
I will have fond memories of Lloyd. Like that cedar bush, Lloyd was one of a kind and not to be seen again.

Lloyd came to our Church, Cedardale in Pefferlaw a few times. After one service he picked up an envelope and he searched out our Pastor insisting his offering was for "helping poor people". I was a teller that day and there was an envelope that was clearly marked for "benevolent fund". The amount wasn't high but the gesture was huge. We all know Lloyd was very far from wealthy however, he shared- and he showed what compassion and loving others is all about.
Just recently, at Judd's Home Hardware he didn't look well but again, the man of compassion came to the surface. He was with Mr. Barkey that was assisting him that day including finding a chair for Lloyd to rest on as Lloyd was obviously unwell- and Lloyd asked the staff person at the cash do "you need any change" because all he had in his wallet were bill notes. The staff said a casual, "we could use it" so he tried to get up from the chair as he said, "I got $3 in my truck I can give you!". Mr. Barkey told Lloyd to please sit down and he went to the truck to get the change for Lloyd....even very sick, Lloyd was man of compassion.
I heard today that Lloyd accepted Jesus as his Saviour so Lloyd has gone Home where he will be well and happy. We can remember Lloyd by trying to be f compassionate for others as he was.
God Bless you.

Lloyd was a sweet man who cared immensely for animals. He spoke of his cats as one might speak of thier children. I was fortunate to have bumped into him at church and immediately he struck me as not only quite a character, but a sweet, caring person too. He would often bring things or offer things, showing his giving heart. He once arrived at my driveway with two beat up rain barrels he had found, wondering if I could use them. A few weeks ago he came to church with ten ripe tomatoes. Two for me and the rest for me to distribute to others after church. Just picture me running after the minister, delivering big red tomatoes in the sanctuary! He will be missed by my husband Brett and I, and my sons Izsak and Josh.
I am happy to know he is whole and pain-free with the Lord.
