Entered into rest peacefully at the Bon Air Nursing Home in Cannington on Thursday, August 14th, 2014. Florence Eileen Butterworth (nee Blanchard), in her 96th year, was the beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Butterworth ( 1993 ). Loving mother of the late Ron Butterworth (2002), Eileen (Larry) Ladd of Oshawa, Sandra Hill of Woodville and Janice (Doug) Short of Port Perry. Dear grandma of Jeff (Carolyn) Butterworth, Lynda (Dale) Hamilton, Lindsay (Mike) Fennema, Shayne (Alix) Hill, April (Stephen) Harris, Pamela , and Michael Short. Dearly remembered by daughter-in-law Jean Butterworth and 13 great grandchildren, Zachary & Lauren Butterworth, Alexis, Patrick, Riley & Carter Hamilton, Hudson & Jordan Hill, Nicholas & Tanner Harris, Hailey, Blake & Brooke Fennema. Predeceased by her brother Ed Blanchard (1979) and her sister Olive Cotton (1997). Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw St. S. in Cannington on Sunday, August 17th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday, August 18th, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Interment Cedar Vale Cemetery. As a remembrance, donations to Trinity United Church in Cannington, would be appreciated.
