Entered into rest suddenly at Lakeridge Health Services in Oshawa on Tuesday, August 19th, 2014. Arnold Joseph Patterson, in his 73rd year, celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary with his beloved wife Marcella (Selly) Connelly of Woodville. Loving father of Lisa Simmons, Sherri (Frank) Hartle, Brenda, (Robert) Junkin and Kyla (Shannon) Beddows. Devoted grandfather of Kadie (Matt) & Jacob Simmons, Christopher (Ashley), Joshua & Abigail Hartle, Robyn Patterson, Devin Junkin, Connor & Caleb Beddows. Arnold was a wonderful brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and dear friend to many people. Predeceased by his parents Joe & Elsie Patterson and his parents-in-law Patrick & Annie Connelly. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw St. S. in Cannington on Friday, August 22nd from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service from Woodville United Church, corner of Nappadale & King St. in Woodville on Saturday, August 23rd, 2014 at 11:00 am. Interment Smith's Cemetery in Woodville. As a remembrance, donations to the Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation, would be appreciated.
