Entered into rest peacefully with family by her side at Caressant Care in Lindsay on Sunday, October 26, 2014. Irene Whitfield (nee Budd ) in her 99th year, was the beloved wife of the late Clarence Whitfield (1985 ). Loving mother of Marian Thompson (Bill predeceased), Helen Whitfield predeceased, Barbara and Larry Ratuszny predeceased, Judy Rea, and Janice (Neil) Brown. Dearly remembered by her grandchildren Bryan, Cheryl (Myles), Paul (Sheila), Jeff (Karri), Tracy (Justin), Todd (Malia), Lisa (John), Lori (Eden), Jason (Linda), Kevin (Natalie), and great grandchildren Amanda, Nolan, Tyson, Trent, Camryn, Simon, Sydney, Branndon, Joey and Jordan. Survived by one sister Hazel (Ralph) Veale of Beaverton. Predeceased by 3 sisters Alberta, Lillian and Blanche. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw St. S. in Cannington on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service from Woodville United Church on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 1:30 pm. As a remembrance, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Cancer Society or the Hospital for Sick Children, would be appreciated.
