Obituary of Merna Brown

Brown, Merna Peacefully with family and kind caring staff at Victoria Manor Nursing Home in Lindsay on Thursday, January 1st, 2015. Merna Violet Brown (nee Shea), in her 90th year, was the beloved wife of the late Gordon William Brown (1985). Loving mother of Will (Lori), Bob (Paulette), Arlene (Keith) Wilson (Ralph predeceased) and Earl predeceased (Margaret). Special Nanny of 27 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 6 great- great-grandchildren. Survived by one sister Donna. Predeceased by sisters Lorna, Verna and Marjorie. Merna Brown will long be remembered as the greatest Nanny. Friends are invited to call at Fairview Baptist Church, 130 Colborne St.W. in Lindsay on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 11:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 noon. A reception will follow in the Church and then Interment at Highland Park Cemetery in Peterborough. As a remembrance, donations to Fairview Baptist Church or the Alzheimer Society, would be gratefully appreciated.
