John was my best friend for many years growing up in the don valley days. We had our little rat pack of trench coats. John had a black one, mine was tan. We were ahead of times then, we like Ska, reggae and obsqure new wave and hip hop was new. We'd listen music and practice pop locking in his mothers basment a house on shaunghnessy blvd. His mother a stout woman from Hungary, she would make blueberry muffins for all the little munchins she watch over for her daycare. We would sneek upstairs in the middle of the night hankering for some, why i'll never tell but it might have something to do with reggae ;). John would stuff hole muffins into his mouth, he always made me laugh. One time he made me laugh so hard milk and muffin came out my nose, worse part was a blueberry rolled out too. That only intensified the hilarity and volume of our laughter, we woke his mom up that night. She was mad and i don't think she ever forgave me after that.
Was some fun times Bro, it is with a heavy heart i write this good-bye
Your friend Raybees Ray Kunz

Sincere sympathy to all of you. You are in our thoughts & prayers. My father (Jane's) died very suddenly when we were young - ages 9, 14, 16 & 23 - so truly understand! It is tough!

Jen, Josh, Jade and Jacob I lost my Mom and the boy's Nanna 4 months ago and we were devastated. We can only imagine the sadness your Dad's loss must be to all of you. Your Dad played such an instrumental role throughout your lives and everyone who knew him, especially in our hockey community. "Big John" will be remembered in our prayers. Sharon, Brent, and Brayden
