Lorne H. Jones
It is with great sadness that his family announces his passing on Sunday, March 15th, 2009 at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay. Lorne Harold Jones, in his 89th yea, was the beloved husband of the late Bernice Jones (nee Cameron). Treasured father of Bob (Mary) Jones, Donna Jones, Shirley (Lloyd) McIntyre, Ken Jones (Marilyn predeceased) and Lorne Jr. (Janie) Jones. Proud and loving grandfather to his 19 grandchildren (one predeceased) and special great grandfather to his 21 great grandchildren (one predeceased). Dear brother of Isabel Kydd (Ralph predeceased) and George & Evelyn Jones. Dearly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents William & Vera Jones. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw St.S., in Cannington, on Thursday, March 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service from Woodville Community Presbyterian Church on Friday, March 20th, 2009 at 1:00 pm. Spring Interment Smith's Cemetery, Woodville. As a remembrance, donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Lindsay Palliative Care Unit, would be appreciated by the family.
