I grew up in the same neighborhood as Randy . We were all kids who lived on the bluffs . He was my older brother Grant’s very good friend and I adored him as a kid, and a teen until we lost touch . I was his sister Christine ‘s friend and so I probably saw Randy almost every day throughout our childhood and teens . I remember his first love. , Cheryl …. how she would playfully tease him because he was too shy to hold her hand . Randy was the sweetest boy ever ! Gentle brown eyes - always a glimpse of a smile in them , and always a soft spoken demeanour . He was the kindest boy in our neighborhood and the most unforgettable. He would make me and his sister Christine a pot of tea after school in his parents kitchen and genuinely listen when he asked about my day . He was a good son. I remember how he was always so respectful of his parents and cooperative . In fact that was the first time I had ever heard the word “ chores”!! A helpful teen around the house and a protective big brother to Christine and to his older sister Arlene. And he was a loyal friend to my brother Grant. It’s the sweet ones with the big hearts and generous natures , the sensitive ones who care about other people and never want to cause trouble or upset , that seem to leave us too early ! Randy I imagine you are an angel in heaven watching down on the people you loved …. thank you for bringing joy and calm and many warm smiles to my childhood and teens …. you were loved by all! ❤️.
