Verna (Waines) Pearse
Entered into rest peacefully at the Bon Air Nursing in Cannington on Friday, August 13th, 2010. Verna May Pearse (nee Smith), in her 95th year, was the beloved wife of Austin Pearse of Sunderland and the late Ralph Waines (1990). Loving mother of Shirley Kelloway (Buddy predeceased), George (Shirley) Waines, Fred (Llaurel) Waines, Bert Waines, Dean (Kathy) Waines and Christine (Cameron) McKean. Dear sister of Ethel Sutton and Alma Broad. Dearly remembered by 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Predeceased by siblings Fred Smith, Olive Sutton and Hazel Corey. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw St. S. in Cannington on Sunday, August 15th, 2010 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday, August 16th, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment at Foster Memorial Cemetery on Monday, August 16th at 2:30 pm. As a remembrance, donations to the Cannington Baptist Church, would be appreciated.
