Goodbye old friend. My condolences to Barb, Kevin, Stephen, Harley and the grandchildren, and to Dorothy and Julie. It was far too soon to lose you, but you have left a wonderful legacy, and wonderful memories I will always treasure. Farewell.

I am writing on behalf of the Eadie family (Dave, Jean, Barb & Marilyn) to another family that have been in our hearts for many years. It certainly was a shock to hear the news of Lloyds sudden passing. We share your grief and pray that you find the comfort needed to help you through this difficult time. Dad and Lloyd had a special connection in their love of wood and furniture making - Dad may even have sparked Lloyds interest. Mom and Dad were able to make it to Lloyd and Barbara's wedding, all the way from Labrador. They really regret not being able to make it to his funeral/memorial. Their thoughts and prayers are with you. My heart goes out to you all. In time the pain and sorrow will gave way to memories of the good times you spent together and will keep him close.

I met Lloyd some years ago through business. We became friends. He took me fishing a number of times but mostly we would just 'hang out' and discuss the world, politics and just about anything else. I will miss my friend a great deal. My condolences to his wife Barb and his three sons, all fine young men now. Rest in peace my friend.

Hello, We are very sorry to hear about Lloyd. As one of the youngest 2nd generation Moira lake cottagers I remember Lloyd as one of the 'grown-ups'. Coming and going with his own car. We'll have to remember the good times had by all at the lake. Sorry for your loss Ian and Linda

Lloyd was a lovely, kind man - a good neighbour always willing to lend a hand with anything a neighbour needed. He was also a talented craftsman who made us a lovely wardrobe, stripped and restored all of the many odds and ends we would bring over! There was nothing he couldn't fix!!! Seemingly decrepit pieces of furniture that probably should have ended up at the dump were magically brought back to life thanks to him! He so lovingly restored Greg's Dad's childhood desk that, when he saw it, Greg's Father was visibly moved at how wonderful it looked. I can look around any room in our house and see an item that Lloyd either restored or even re-built for us; we are so very lucky. He always took the time to stop and chat, always had a friendly wave...a truly kind and generous spirit. We will miss him in many ways. Godspeed Lloyd........
