Marilynne Tamblyn Entered into rest peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Friday July 13th, 2012. Marilynne Elizabeth Tamblyn was born on February 9th, 1937 in Toronto, the only child of Harold and Elizabeth Clement. Married Wilfred Tamblyn on December 1st 1956 and is survived by Wilf and their four children Dan, Rob, Ken, Lisa and nine grandchildren. Marilynne worked at Langstaff Cards for many years and was an active member of the UCW and a volunteer for Brock Community Care. Mom's passion and vocation was sewing. She taught her daughter and all her granddaughters to sew and was happiest when she was creating on her sewing machine. She made uniforms for the Pefferlaw Pipe and Drum Band and hundreds of outfits for distribution through the United Church to children in third world countries. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home in Cannington on Monday, July 16th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Memorial Service in Trinity United Church in Cannington, will be held on Tuesday, July 17th, 2012 at 2:00 pm. As a remembrance, donations to the Palliative Care Unit at the Ross Memorial Hospital, would be appreciated. Special thanks to Dr. Summers and the wonderful staff who provided comfort and compassion for the last weeks of her life.
