Wilma Mary Patterson (Benoit) My departure has come. I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Peacefully in Orillia on Monday, January 10th, 2011 in her 88th year. Wilma Mary Patterson was born in Bracebridge, Ontario on June 11th, 1923. She was the daughter of William and Mary (Lance) Patterson. Beloved mother of John Waugh (Jody), Eric Waugh (Jennifer), Daphne Mainprize and Stephen Garwood (Nicole), all of Orillia. Adored by her grandchildren Glenn, William, Julie, Greg, David, Anne, Craig, Stephanie and Storme. Great-grandmother of Rachael and Jacob. Dearly loved sister of the late Lance Patterson. Survived by sister-in-law Anne Patterson and nephews Wayne and Gary Patterson and loved by her great nieces and nephews. Wilma lived an interesting life, with a great enthusiasm for travel, current events, music and family. She had a wonderful sense of humour and was an inspiration to her family and friends. A celebration of Wilma's life will be held at Swanmore Hall, Stephen Leacock Museum, 50 Museum Drive, Orillia, on Saturday, January 15th, 2011 from 2-4 pm. Spring interment at Cedar Vale Cemetery, Cannington, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice through the Thorne Funeral Home in Cannington, ON.
