Obituary of Ivan Thompson

Ivan Thompson Entered into rest peacefully surrounded by his family at Lakeview Manor in Beaverton on Wednesday, March 16th, 2011. Ivan Lenus Thompson, in his 95th year, was the beloved husband of Mary Catherine Ross. Loving father of Anne and Gordon Tomlinson of Barrie, Arlene Smith and her companion Joe Burrows of Cannington, Brian and Brenda Thompson of Mount Albert and Blain and Terri-Lynn Thompson of Sunderland. Dearly remembered by his grandchildren Tanya, David, Stacie, Donald, Amy, Jamie, Thomas, Justin, Jordan and Colin. Predeceased by two sisters Effie Thompson and Verna (Sam) Brierley and two brothers Willard (Alice) Thompson and Edson (Ila) Thompson. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw St. S. in Cannington on Sunday, March 20th, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service from Trinity United Church, 50 Laidlaw St.S. in Cannington on Monday, March 21st, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Spring Interment Cedar Vale Cemetery.
