Olive McDonald
Retired elementary school teacher for 40 years. Life Member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Trinity United Church, The Horticultural Society, the Historical Society and 60 year member of the Rebekah Lodge. Entered into rest peacefully at the Bon Air Nursing Home in Cannington on Wednesday, April 6th, 2011. Olive Lillian McDonald (nee Currie), in her 96th year. Loving mother of Ernest (Nancy) McDonald of Markham and Wayne (Susan) McDonald of Lake Orion, Michigan. Cherished grandma of Charles, Heather (Michael) Kinkaid, Jeffrey, Aimee and Lisa. Survived by sister-in-law Lue Currie. Predeceased by brothers Willis and Ernest Currie. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw St.S. in Cannington, on Sunday, April 10th, 2011 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Funeral Service from Trinity United Church, 50 Laidlaw St.N. in Cannington on Monday, April 11th, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Spring Interment Smith's Cemetery in Woodville. As a remembrance, donations to Trinity United Church Cannington, Brock Township Library Cannington or Community Living York South, would be appreciated. All members and visiting sisters of the OES are asked to assemble at the funeral home for Eastern Star Service on Sunday, April 10th, 2011 at 7:00 pm.
