Obituary of Warne Thomas

Warne Thomas Entered into rest peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, with family by his side, on Wednesday, April 20th, 2011. Warne Thomas, in his 99th year, was the beloved husband of the late Elsie Thornton (2003) and the late Christine McDonald (1987). Loving father of Mary (Fred) Catherwood of Uxbridge, Don (Louise) Thomas of Uxbridge and Janice (Francis) deRegnaucourt of Chester Springs, Pennsylvania. Dearly remembered by six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Survived by one brother Clinton Thomas of Woodville and one sister-in-law Margaret Thomas of Woodville. Predeceased by siblings Ruth, Leslie, Ethel, Elsie, Alma and Stanley. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw St. S. in Cannington on Sunday, April 24th, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service from Woodville United Church (corner of Nappadale and King St.) on Monday, April 25th, 2011 at 3:00 pm. Interment Smith's Cemetery in Woodville. As a remembrance, donations to Cannington or Woodville United Churches or the Heart & Stroke Foundation, would be appreciated. All members of Harding Lodge No. 477 and visiting brethren are asked to assemble for Masonic Service in the funeral chapel on Sunday evening at 7:00 pm.
