Lorne Sterling McPhail
Entered into rest at Port Perry Hospital on Tuesday, April 26th, 2011, in his 86th year. Lorne was born in Toronto, Ontario on October 2nd, 1925 to parents Donald C. McPhail and Lillian A. Oliver. Sisters Betty Ferris and Isabel Egan predeceased him. Lorne will be missed by surviving siblings Allan (Marian) McPhail, Marjory Walker, Dorothy Rose, Donald McPhail and Norma McPhail, many nieces , nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and dear friends Chris, Debbie, Kevin and Nicole George of Cannington. Lorne was a long time employee of the former Borough of North York and a resident of Cannington, Ontario for the last 32 years. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw St.S. in Cannington, on Thursday, May 5th, 2011 from 1:00 pm until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 2:00 pm. As a remembrance, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Institute for the Blind, would be appreciated.
