Kenneth Alfred Moore Entered into rest peacefully at Lakeview Manor in Beaverton on Thursday, May 5th, 2011. Kenneth Alfred Moore in his 93rd year, was the beloved husband for 70 years, of the late Elma Melina Moore (nee Ware) (March 2011). Loving father of Jim (Barb) of Cannington, Rick (Candice) of Oshawa, Tom (Joanne) of Coboconk and Erin (Erich) Tratnik of Uxbridge. Proud grandfather of Jean-Paul, Joy, Jennifer, Robyn, Chris, Mitchell and Jessica. Loving great-grandfather of Brooklyn, Bradley, Meghan, Lauren, Preston, Jack, Ellie, Kaitlyn and Alex. Ken was a Veteran of World War II where he served in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. In the early years Ken and his brother Ron ran R & K Moore Building Contractors. Ken and Elma were very involved members of St. Saviour's Anglican Church in Toronto. The Moore family spent many wonderful years cottaging on Shadow Lake in Coboconk, ON. Retiring to Cannington in 1983, Ken and Elma became active members of All Saints Anglican Church and the Historical Society. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw St.S. in Cannington on Monday, May 9th, 2011 from 1:00 pm until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 3:00 pm.As a remembrance, donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice, would be appreciated.
