Obituary of Wilfred Roy Tamblyn
Please share a memory of Wilfred to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Entered into rest peacefully at home on Monday March 28, 2016. Wilfred Roy Tamblyn was born on May 24, 1934 in Scott Township, the fifth child of Roy and Willena Tamblyn. Predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years Marilynne Elizabeth Clement and his siblings Leila, William, Phyllis, William John and Edward. Survived by four proud children Dan, Rob, Ken, Lisa, their spouses, and nine adoring grandchildren. Wilfred was a farmer for many years and loved being around people. Over the years he hired many local boys to help with farm chores and enjoyed teaching several generations of young men everything they would ever want to know about farming. After he retired from the farm, Wilfred worked at the Brelmar Clinic in Sunderland for 15 years. He loved spending time with Al Bowness and helping another generation of young men and women as they started their veterinary careers. After retiring from Brelmar, Wilfred volunteered at Brock Community Care, where he worked as a "Friendly Visitor" and brightened the days of many elderly Brock residents. Wilfred was a member of the Brock Lodge for 60 years and was a charter member of the Pefferlaw Lion's club since 1956.
