Please accept my condolenses. John was a member of a group of guys that grew up in auto recycling. We are a group of guys , that although we sometimes only spoke on the phone, have become friends and mentors to each other. John will be missed. He always made me smile before we hung up the phone, always had a way to make you laugh. He was a great guy.

i have known john through the auto recycling business for over 20 years. i always enjoyed his humour and he was always to the point lol. when i heard of his passing i remembered we had pictures from our auto recyclers convention almost 10 years ago i noticed he was playing horse shoes with the guys . a previous comment said how he was the man to learn about playing horse shoes. we lost a co worker "GUY" here 3 years ago and it was a very hard thing to move forward but it does get easier. thoughts and prayers go out to johns family , friends and co-workers. he will be greatly missed. I did not have the pleasure of getting to know John very well, but for the brief moments I was in his presence, I could tell what a beautiful person he was. Dear Judie, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember playing in our families horseshoe tournament in the kids division about 10 or 11 years ago where I was able to chose an adult to coach me. Some other family members quietly told me to chose John because he was a very good player in their division. I decided to ask him and he agreed! Everyone was right, he was the best coach I had; he taught me how to hold and throw the shoe properly and all the while maintaining a professional coach attitude about himself. I ended up winning that year :)
