Obituary of Jean Lucille Baker

Member of the Brock Soft Ball Team Peacefully, on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 94. Beloved daughter of the late Herbert and Lucille Baker. Loved sister of the late Robert Baker and his wife Wilma. Loving aunt of Jane McWilliams, John Baker, Peter Baker and Paul Baker (Janeen). Jean will be lovingly remembered by all of their extended families. Jean was born on the farmstead in Sunderland. She left the community for a short time to pursue her education at Ryerson University and for work. When she returned to Sunderland she enjoyed spending her time caring for her parents and took up many hobbies including painting, rug hooking, quilting and gardening. She also enjoyed traveling but always enjoyed coming home to her community. A private graveside service will be held at St. John Cemetery, Brock Township. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Sunderland United Church Memorial Fund or Canadian Cancer Society.
