Dear Tara, Tracey and Marty
I wanted to reach out and tell you how sorry I was to hear that your father passed away. I worked for your father and Linda at the Surplus Store for a few years in the 80's. They were my first "bosses". I always appreciated what a kind generous and caring person your dad was. He greeted me every Saturday morning with a big smile, we would drive to the store together and then he would spend the day teaching me about many things about the store. Both he and Linda took so much pride in the store and were always focused on trying to find good products for our customers. Finally, I always appreciated the trust that was placed in me. Trust to treat their customers well, trust when they let me run the store alone, and trust when I would recommend a product and they would order it (even when they weren't big sellers - the whole pink leather back pack craze didn't catch on for the Barton Street crowd in the 80's)
I just wanted you to know how much your father meant to me and how much even years later, a piece of him walks around with me.
I hope the celebration of life was a great time. I believe I am right in remembering that he would much prefer for people to celebrate with a toast than with a cry so I will have a few "toasts" this weekend to your father!!

For my good friends Tara, Tracy and Marty, I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad. I just adored him and when we all got together I felt like family. He was funny and caring and always a gentleman. I will miss him at our gatherings. My thoughts are with you all and my love is sent you way!♡♡♡
