My memories of Sharon take me back to high school. Although she was a year older and a grade ahead of me we became good friends. We spent many a time on the ice playing hockey as well as other sports. She had a tricky shoulder which often became dislocated whenever she raised her arm above her head. This limited her involvement in certain activities but she never complained. She loved to play cards and I recall money on the McNabb table being shuffled from one player to the other. Hearts it was.
The McNabb farm was my introduction to farming life and I recall being in the mow with Sharon and her Father. I soon discovered the coveted jobs and believe me that was not one of them!
Over the years Sharon's life ended up in Sarnia and mine in Meaford and she always said that she was coming up here for a visit. Never happened. I made it to Sarnia 2 years ago and she came to the lawn bowling green where we managed to get caught up.
To the family please know that I am very disappointed that I cannot be at the service Aug 18. God just got another angel!!!
