Obituary of Ralph Robert Chambers

Ralph Robert Chambers, 81, peacefully passed, with his daughters at his side, at Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket on Saturday, September 15, 2018. Beloved father of Lynn Chambers and her partner Chris Parsons, and Stephanie Chambers and her wife Monica Noy, all of Toronto.

Ralph was happiest at the head of the table laughing with his family and friends sharing a glass of wine and a meal he had prepared himself from vegetables he had grown in his garden. Ralph and his father, Orvan, were leaders in the Holstein business and accelerated the emergence and advancement of Holstein cattle as one of the best dairy cows in Canada. The Way Brook herd was one of the noted assemblages of Holstein cattle of its era.

Ralph will be greatly missed by his family and friends for his hearty laugh, his generous spirit, his love of a good yarn, and his willingness to tell it like it is. Friends and family will be invited to a Celebration of Ralph’s life at a later date. We’re sure Ralph would like you to smile, raise a glass, and join us to celebrate a life well lived.
