Obituary of Leona Ruth Brooks

Entered into rest at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa on Saturday, October 13, 2018 after living a full and meaningful Christian life for 88 years. Beloved wife of the late James Arley Brooks (2016) whom she met and married when she was 73 years of age. Leona is predeceased by her sister Mabel (2005) and her brother Bruce (1991). Survived by her sister-in-law Joyce Alderson of St. Mary’s and three nephews, Adam (Susan), Alan (Julie), and Wayne Alderson. Dearly remembered by hundreds of students that she taught over 40 years of her teaching career.

Friends are invited to attend a Service on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 1 p.m. at College Park Adventist Church, 1165 King Street East in Oshawa. Interment of cremated remains will take place in the family plot in Exeter Cemetery. As a remembrance, donations to College Park Church in Oshawa for the Community Service Centre would be gratefully appreciated.
