To the family of Brett Como, may he rest in peace. My name is Raymond, or Ray as Brett used to call me. I first met Brett in the downtown area of Toronto. Then he found out that he qualified for better housing near the Ave. Dav. area north of Bloor Street. I was SOOOOO proud of him. He was such an UBER MENSCH. He would let me stay over at his place whenever he saw that my living environment at the time was getting the better of me. I'll TRULY miss him, and there will be many, MANY days in my future that I'll sit and reminisce about this sweet and caring young man. I only wish that I could have done more for him!! He is in a far better place now than he was in years gone by. But I also have to say that he spoke fondly and lovingly of all of his family members. Rest In Peace my best bud, former roommate, and my partner in crime. I'm so glad that I told you just how much I loved you Brett. I'll see you on the other side!

To the Como Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
I grew up with Brett all through elementary school. He was always the class clown.
I haven’t seen or spoken to him in years but he will always be remembered.

I grew up best friend's with Brett's younger brother. I looked up to Brett a lot. He gave me my first copy of Rancid songs and introduced me to music I never otherwise would have heard. The countless bonfires in the backyard. So many memories of us crowding in his bedroom watching movies. Every memory I have of Brett is a good one and him treating me well. Like older siblings do, protecting younger siblings on the school yard, he included me in that. When I look back at all those childhood years, I was fortunate to have Brett around growing up. Sending love to the whole family.
As Brett liked to call me,
Zechariah

Brett was one of my closest friends in high school. While we lost touch over the years, I will always treasure our friendship. Brett was great man with a great sense of humour and compassion. I'll miss you dude! My prayers go to his family.
