Obituary of John Reid

John Reid Entered into rest at Winbourne Park in Ajax on Sunday, March 24th, 2013. John Gordon Reid, in his 82nd year, was the beloved husband of the late Elsie Claire Duncan (1987). Loving father of Alan (Pat) Reid both predeceased, Bonnie Reid of Ajax, Johnny predeceased (Lynda) Reid of Lindsay, Ronnie (Betty) Reid of Whitby and Margo (Marty) Reynard of Oshawa. Dearly remembered by 7 grandchildren Brian, Trevor (Stephanie), Tara (Barry), Shannon, Michelle, Gregory and Jason (Lee). Also 9 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Marjorie (late Fred) Deyell,Helen (late Morris) Bell, Hazel (late Bill) Ferguson, James Reid, Donald (Barb) Reid, Leslie (Cathy) Reid, Donna Stewart (friend Hugh Morrison), Shirley (George) Waines, Kenneth (Betty) Reid and Elaine (late Bill) Taylor. Dear brother-in-law of Pearl Duncan, Jim (Claire) Duncan, Peter (Carol) Duncan and many nieces and nephews in the Reid and Duncan clans. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home, 98 River St. in Sunderland on Wednesday, March 27th, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service from St. Andrews United Church, 10 Church St. in Sunderland, on Thursday, March 28th, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Interment Sunderland Cemetery. As a remembrance, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada or the Brock Food Bank, would be appreciated.
