I will always remember Allen as being happy and content. I can still see Allen driving his big gold coloured truck to pick up some "treasure" that my Dad wanted gone from behind the barn. I was coming up the lane with the mail when Allen stopped the truck for a chat. I remember that chat so well, he basically told me he married the perfect lady with Marj and had the perfect son with Rick. My takeaway from that chat was wishing I could be as happy and content as Allen in my adult life. I never saw him at the A & W in Uxbridge or the Uxbridge Walmart by chance or at home on the farm- when he wasn't happy and content. I don't think many people but Allen has ever enjoyed delivering Chinese food as much as he did for many years working the night shift zipping around in a small car all over the place, having such a great time.
