I always remember Wayne coming to get a lot of corn from me and my brother for "our family corn roasts". We never knew if he had a big family or he was just being kind to a couple of farm kids with an old Dodge truck. Wayne was a smiling, gentle soul that took the time out to figure out who I was and then he would see me at different places- and ask about something specific I wrote in the farm newspaper. He always was a positive light and one of those people you went towards whenever you ever saw him. Wayne will always be remembered with fondness and with the knowledge that being kind is never ever forgotten.

We are sending our condolences to the Sharpe Family. I have such fond memories of working with Wayne for over 20 years at Hancock Sand and Gravel and later CBM. I went on a few trips with Wayne in his Western Star and his Peterbuilt. Wayne was never short on stories! He would have been an awesome tour guide. After Wayne retired he drove bus to the Mariposa School. Laurie always would come home and share stories of the chats they had while the kids loaded the bus. You were liked by everyone my friend and had the biggest smile and wonderful sense of humour. You will be dearly missed.
