Obituary of John Albert Darby

John Albert Darby, aged 76, passed away peacefully at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa on Thursday, May 9, 2024 after a long illness. He was born on the 7th of June 1947 in Mitcham, England to Albert and Annie Selina Darby.

 

Known for his mischievous humour, he loved traveling the world. A career Travel Agent, he was responsible for modernizing systems and enabling travel plans for thousands of clients. He loved birdwatching and chasing away squirrels and he especially loved the redwing black bird that came often to see him. John is survived by his wife Linda, children Michelle and Christopher, grandchildren Leo and Oliver and sister Jan. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the charity of your choice.
