I remember Mr. Doble as a well respected director of Sunderland Cooperative when it was still in its infancy, at least fifty years ago. He managed an attractive, tidy farm, with good help from his wife, Beryl, his father and Henry Horne. They were very active contributors to the community, especially the popular Sunderland Fair. Beryl's baking earned many first prizes, which were prized purchases when the judging was completed. Some of my memories, going way back. John Real (son of Cecil) Sault Ste. Marie
