Peacefully in his 89th year at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Monday, December 9th, 2013. Donald George Park, loving husband of Shirley (Sneath) and the late Janet Blackford. Loving father of Sandra, Trevor (Ines) and Terrence (Jean). Cherished Poppa of Kristopher (Nora), Megan, Rachel (fiance` Joshua) and Braden. and great grandfather to Malayah. Cherished step-father of Heidi (Marcus) and David. Step grand-father to Kachina, Julian, Kyra and Lydia. Dear brother of Gordon (Marie) of Ottawa. Predeceased by his brothers Jack and Bryce and his parents Wilmot and May Park. Brother-in-law to Evelyn and Rose. Don was maintenance supervisor for many years at Philco / Ford Electronics. An avid woodworker, gardener and music lover. He will be dearly missed by all. Visitation from the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw St.S. in Cannington, on Friday, December 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service from Trinity United Church, 50 Laidlaw St. N. in Cannington on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Visitation 1 hour before Service. Interment Necropolis Cemetery in Brock Township. As a remembrance, donations to Trinity United Church, would be appreciated.
