John Cooper It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden tragic death of John Cooper, known to his friends and co workers as COOP on Friday, January 29th, 2010. George John Cooper, in his 57th year, was the loving father of John Cooper and his wife Karlene of Cannington, youngest son of Mary Cooper of Cannington and the late George Cooper and best friend and partner of Jackie Gow of Beaverton. He will be sadly missed by his brother Dave and his wife Mary of Trenton, sister Yvonne and her husband Bill Stokes of Lindsay, sister-in-law Maureen of Belleville and the late Bob Cooper. He leaves many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and Jackie's children whom he loved dearly. John had worked for the TTC and Go Transit for thirty years, which he thoroughly enjoyed and had just retired in December 2009. He loved fishing, camping and the great outdoors. He was a member of the local Legion Br. 186 in Cannington and spent many hours helping friends and family with all their drywall needs. John was so looking forward to the birth of his own grandchild due this week. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw St.S., in Cannington on Tuesday, February 2nd from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and on Wednesday February 3rd, 2010 from 1:00 pm until time of Memorial Service at 3:00 pm.
