Dear Wayne and Family, I was deeply saddened to learn of Ces' death. We worked togther at The Ross and she was a beautiful person who welcomed this newcomer to town. On evening shifts, we shared many stories of her kids' achievements as well as their antics. She was so proud of her family and treated her patients and fellow staff members with compassion and kindness. She was truly a good nurse and a beautiful human being. It only takes a moment to flash back in time and recall when I first met Ces at Kingsway. What fantastic memories we shared as nursing students at Branson. The lessons we learned about nursing and life and friends were made extra special by having Ces in our midst. Though distance has separated us all these years, there have been times when we reconnected and were blessed anew. I will forever treasure having known Ces. I was most influenced by her faith in God and her resilience in adversity. How I wish I could be there for her memorial service tomorrow - John and I will be praying for you - Wayne, Kelly and family, Russell and family, Janelle, Heather and Laura. Wayne, my heart goes out to you and your family. I have not seen Ces for years but the memories remain strong - those big bright eyes, long lashes and lovely smile are etched in my memory.
