Ruth Evelyn Smith Peacefully at the Bon Air Nursing Home in Cannington on Friday, September 17th, 2010. Ruth Evelyn Smith (nee Gohn), in her 87th year, was the beloved wife of the late Leslie H. Smith (2005). Loving mother of Norma & Jim Ferguson and Ted & Wilma Smith, all of Sunderland. Dearly remembered by her grandchildren Heather & Michael Moore, Eric Ferguson & fiance` Cassie Gilroy, Graham Smith & fiance` Holly Baker, Lee-Ann Smith and great grandson Carson Moore. Predeceased by infant brother Edgar Kirby Gohn. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw St.S.in Cannington on Sunday, September 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Greenbank United Church on Hwy # 12 in Greenbank on Monday, September 20th, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment Pinedale Cemetery. As a remembrance, donations to the Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation, would be appreciated.
