Dear Jim, So I see we are given one last chance to say "good-bye". You would probably be shaking your head and give a little chuckle knowing this can all be done because of new technology! Here I am looking at my computer screen with your picture, smiling back just as you are. On behalf of everyone else in the Orlowski family I would like to say "thank-you" Jim for being such a very caring, big hearted and giving person in all your soft spoken ways. We thank-you for snowblowing our driveway, repairing our vehicles, lending a hand in building our addition, sharing your tools, sharing your thoughts and opinions during our "over the fence" conversations, for being such an active member in our small community and the best for last Jim is for being our neighbour for the past 23 years. You will be sadly missed by Mike, Tina, Kyle, Colin, Kate and Kim.

I have been very priveledged to have known Jim. I've known Jim since I joined The Cannington Lions Club some eight years ago. Jim's dedication to his community was something we can all be proud of. He gave much more than he ever received and was not thanked enough for his efforts. Many of my best memories of Jim are the casual and frank conversations late at night after a Lions meeting or while camped out selling Christmas Trees in Cannington. Jim's absence will be marked by the excellent advice we will no longer receive. There will always be an empty chair at the meetings of The Cannington Lions Club. I would like to thank Jim for everything he gave to his community and fellow man. I wish to express my condolences to Jim's family knowing they will always remember and be proud of one of the finest men I have ever known.

Mr. McCann was the nicest, quietest man I have known. When I first met him at Jenna's house, I think he said maybe three words to me. I did not take offense. He was just quiet. I remember him fixing my car or trying to when I had to take Jenna home (I sped out of the school parking lot with a K-car). Bad idea. He was so sweet to take a look at the car for me. The one memory that sticks out for me is when I saw him at Jenna's wedding (I had not seen him in awhile) and he was so talkative. I thought, "Who is this man?" I will never forget that day. He was talking to me and thanking me for my close friendship with his daughter. Then we all watched as he and Jenna danced to Dancing Queen by ABBA for their father/daughter dance. So beautiful. My prayers and sympathies go out to the family at this time and I wish I could be there to help celebrate his life. I am there in spirit and the memory of him at Jenna's wedding will always stay in my mind.
