Obituary of James McCann

James (Jim) McCann Entered into rest peacefully at his home in Cannington surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 29th, 2011. James William McCann, in his 73rd year, was the beloved husband for 49 years of Sharon Faye Rogers. Loving father of James (Vicki) McCann, Tracy McCann (Sean) and Jennifer (Paul) Gill. Devoted grandpa of Jaxon and Kennedy. Dear brother-in-law of Richard Rogers, Dorothy (Gordon) Mino, June (Gary) Schoening, Norm (Audie) Finley and foster brother Bill Rowley. Predeceased by foster sister Maebelle Sevick. Jim was a faithful GM employee for 36 years. Past President of the Cannington Lions Club. A supportive volunteer and hockey enthusiast. He was a former member of the Whitby Drag Knights, an avid woodworker at home and he thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing with his buddies. A Celebration of Jim's life will take place on Saturday, July 9th, 2011 starting at 2:00 pm in the Lion's Hall, 24 Laidlaw St.S. in Cannington, ON As a remembrance, donations to the Terry Fox Foundation, Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Kawartha Lakes or Cottage Dreams / Cancer Recovery Initiatives, would be appreciated.
