Cathy, Susan, Debbie and Christopher and families:
Jackie and I want to pass on my condolences on the passing of Ross. I always had good time with Ross, Marie and "the kids" whenever we were together.
Whenever I drive north on Highway #12, just north of our farm, on the other side of the road is "Cookmans' Farm". Although others have owned it since, it will always be the Cookman Farm to me.
When I think of Ross, I always think of a hard working man who had a good sense of humour and a memorable laugh. He was a very good friend to my parents, as well as a great neighbor when he was on the farm. I remember Ross as an avid Blue Jays fan. Ross and Marie would often visit my parents' home in Port Perry on game night to watch the Blue Jays play and to catch up on all the latest news. Lots of good times were had with Ross and the family!!
We pass on our sympathy and best wishes to all of you at this time.
Jackie and Willie.

Ross was my first employer many, many years ago. Both he and Marie treated me very well and I have always held both of them in the highest regard. I am sorry that circumstances keep me from attending the service but please know that my prayers are with the family. Blaine

It was such an honour to have the opportunity to get to know both Ross and Marie Cookman. In recent years, I have admired how Ross remained interested in others, always asking me how my son and daughter were doing every time I saw him at West Shore. His sense of humour too never left him, in spite of spending over 20 years dealing with debilitating pain. My most cherished memories involve watching Blue Jays baseball with him. God speed, Ross.
