I offer my deepest condolences at this difficult time. We had great times with your mother and she was a well respected lady and will be deeply missed.
I am truly sorry I cannot be there to support you. We are on our way back from Banff where I was visiting my granddaughter and will be unable to make it home in time for the visitation or funeral.
Will be thinking of you.

Marg was a tremendous person and a dear friend of my parents. Her public service to the Village of Cannington and Brock Township was impeccable. She persevered with the publishing of the Cannington Gleaner after the untimely death of her father, Ernie. I have spent many hours reading her accounts of the Cannington Intermediate and Junior hockey games of the 1940s and 1950s, complete with boxscores. They are epic and would rival the work of reporters working at the Globe and the Star. As a young boy, one of my immediate thoughts after scoring one of my rare goals was that my name would be in print in the next Gleaner. It was a thrill that, unfortunately, the current generation does not have the opportunity to experience. She is one of the reasons why my hometown, Cannington, was such a special place in which to grow up. Thanks Marg and Godspeed.
